Rice is a great complement to many dishes. Basmati in particular is a great source of fiber and is a low to medium glycemic index food. A serving of fluffy and seasoned Basmati rice will add another dimension of flavor to your meal.
This will accomodate 2 servings of rice
Ingredients
1 cup Basmati rice
Salt
Cinnamon sticks
Cardamoms
1 tsp ghee butter or Oil
Optional almonds and raisins
Add 1 cup of Basmati rice to your pot and wash it 3 times to remove the starch.
With your pot on the stove add salt, cinnamon sticks, cardamoms, and around 1 tsp of ghee butter or oil. Mix it under the fire and then add 2 cups of hot water. Cook on low heat for 20 minutes.
Now you have your fluffy and tasty Basmati rice. Optional to roast some almonds and raisins to add on top of rice. Enjoy!
